Oral hygiene and advice on cleaning your teeth

It all comes down to proper oral hygiene. Average or poor oral hygiene causes inflamed gums. In a number of cases, this will affect the jawbone, which supports the roots of the teeth and molars. The bone will be broken down by the body, which will cause the teeth and molars to loosen. This inflammation is often chronic in nature and persists unnoticed.

Poor oral hygiene will also have an exceptionally negative effect on the lifespan of fillings, veneers and crowns. It is therefore very important to develop and maintain a good standard of oral hygiene.

After cleaning your teeth, we provide you with advice on cleaning your teeth if necessary. We will discuss cleaning techniques and the use of toothpicks and dental floss. If you have extensive problems, we will arrange an appointment with the oral hygienist.
